Get $100 Off a Smart Thermostat for Your Home

Smart Thermostats help keep your home comfortable and save energy. They learn your routine and preferences and automatically change settings.

Starting December 13, 2017 purchase and install one of the qualifying smart thermostat models and receive a $100 rebate.

Get Free Energy-Saving Upgrades

There are three levels of support available; the level is determined by your net income and average energy bill.

Level 1: You can receive a Home Energy Kit that includes easy-to-install items such as:

  • ENERGY STAR® LED bulbs
  • Block heater timer
  • Smart power bar
  • Efficient shower heads
  • Aerators
  • Hot water pipe insulation

Level 2: You may also qualify for an in-home visit by a professional Home Energy Advisor; you will receive a Home Energy Plan and upgrades that may include ENERGY STAR® appliances. Equipment could include:

  • Refrigerators
  • Freezers
  • Window air conditioners
  • Dehumidifiers
  • Programmable thermostats

Level 3: For electrically heated homes only, you may also qualify for an in-home visit by a professional Home Energy Advisor, Home Energy Plan, and upgrades that may include:

  • ENERGY STAR® heat pumps
  • Comprehensive draft proofing
  • Attic insulation
  • Wall insulation

Home Insulation for Low-Income Natural Gas Customers

Who qualifies?

Customers who pay their gas bill and live in a home built prior to 1975 that uses a gas fireplace and meet one of the following:

  • Household income meets requirements
  • Have received income support

What you can get:

  • An assessment of your home to see what upgrades you qualify for.
  • Energy saving upgrades installed by a professional contractor.
  • An assessment after upgrades are made to measure energy efficiency.

Free Energy Saving Devices for Low-Income Customers

Who qualifies?

  • If you live in eligible non-profit housing
  • If you rent or own a home and meet one of the following:
    – Received assistance with your energy bill in the last 12 months
    – Household income meets requirements

What you can get:

  • Energy-saving light bulbs
  • ENERGY STAR® refrigerators
  • ENERGY STAR® freezers, dehumidifiers, window air-conditioners
  • Home insulation and draft proofing
  • Low-flow showerheads
  • Programmable thermostats
  • Powerbars
  • Faucet aerators

Home Reno Rebate from Union Gas

Who qualifies?

  • You own a detached, semi-detached, townhouse or mobile home.
  • heated by natural gas, oil, propane, electricity or wood.
  • Your home is located in the Union Gas program area.
  • You must complete an energy assessment both before and after renovations.
  • You must complete at least two eligible renovations

Rebates:

Heating system …………………Up to $1,000 rebate

Insulation ……………………….. Up to $1,750 rebate per insulation

Water heater …………………….$500 rebate

Windows/Doors ………………..$80 rebate per rough opening

Appliances ………………………..Up to $75 rebate per appliance

Air source heat pump …………Up to $5,800 rebate per system

Central air conditioner ……….$600 rebate
